L-theanine ADHD

How would you perform under pressure? Probably ok. When u see it’s only 1 day before the deadline, you are more motivated to get work done than when u got a whole month.

How about when the pressure just keeps cranking up? after this deadline, you got another one in 1 hour. Is there a point in time when the pressure is just too much, and then you don’t work as well anymore?

How about when the pressure cranks down, is there a point in time where you don’t work as well?

You get my point. We need pressure to self-motivate us. So we set deadlines for ourselves to motivate us. Someone with ADHD/ADD only gets triggered with direct consequences, setting deadlines sheduled weeks away doesn't help them. So why are direct consecuenses good for people with ADHD/ADD and what does the combo l-theanine adhd really result in?

How self-motivation works

The source of self-motivation comes from the fronto-limbic circuit in the brain. Because of the fronto-limbic circuit we can sustain an action without direct consequences, because we know if we follow through with the action we get a positive result or prevent a negative one.

Think about it: we make homework to prevent detention or get a good grade. At the moment of making the homework we don’t get a direct consequence or even when we finished it, only the day at school we get the positive or negative result. It’s the positive or negative result that motivates us.

A clearer example is with athletes. They set their own deadlines. The championship may be 4 year away but day after day they go all out in their training while not gaining a direct result. But they if they don’t do it, it will cost them the championship.

What is ADHD/ADD?

As I said earlier people with ADHD/ADD only get motivation from direct consequences also known as the emotional part of the brain. This means they are reacting in what’s happening in their direct environment, this explains also the hyperactivity from ADHD. Not only is the fronto-limbic circuit significally smaller in the brain of people with ADHD/ADD, it also don’t seem to activate when a person is confronted with a situation. During a confrontation this should happen:guy 1 says I NEED THIS BY NEXT WEEK DONE OR ELSE!, your fronto-limbic circuit respond with pro activeness (he is a jerk for talking to me like that but he is true I need to finish this) and so u control your emotion and finish the job. You know that u need to keep guy 1 as a friend. With ADHD this could happen: in a hyper active mood confronting him, hey don’t tell me what to do! They know it’s bad but at the moment they can only react at what’s coming at them.

The biggest problem in our society is convincing the general public about the seriousness of this disorder. The name itself is trivial ADHD. People judge the disease, you can’t pay attention because you’re not trying. It is misnamed. Self-control is not learned, it’s not how good your parents were! ADHD is a genetic disorder this means ADHD is a self-regulation disorder meaning self-control is largely narrow genetic in origin.

What the combo L-theanine ADHD should mean to you

The study, from the Canadian center for functional medicine by Doctor Micheal Lyon, says l-theanine reduces hyperactivity. Going specifically it promote the a-waves in the brain. The boost of a-waves result in a relaxed but alert state of mind, simply said increased focus .
Not only does it reduces hyperactivity it also helps to sleep better. How does the combo l-theanine ADHD compare to the most prescribed medicine for ADHD, Ritalin? Well Ritalin manages to reduce the hyperactivity, but at the cost of an alert mental state the user will become very drowsy. Another effect it lowers the sleep quality of the user. But the most dangerous part is Ritalin increases dopamine levels far higher than l-theanine can, making it a highly addictive substance.

In conclusion the combination l-theanine ADHD will reduces the hyperactivity, improves the sleep quality without the side-affects you would get with Ritalin. But it will not solve the self-control to motivate, people with ADHD/ADD need the immediate consequences meaning we as: parent, teacher, friend or boss need to have more deadline, boundaries. This will help ADHD’r to have more focus because it’s in the now.

Hey there, I'm a former student of nutrition and dietetics. During my study I became obsessed with the positive effects of antioxidants. Unfortunately there wasn't much information available for the antioxidant of tea.

I made Theaninezone for two reasons, to teach others about the positive effects of Theanine and to give you reviewed products that are worth buying.
